Nick Sinai is a Managing Director at Insight Partners, a global software investor partnering with high-growth companies. Insight’s mission is to find, fund, and work successfully with visionary executives, providing them with hands-on software expertise along their growth journey.

Nick is a board director or board advisor to Onebrief, LeoLabs, Shift5, Hawkeye360, Rebellion Defense, and Govly. Nick also works with Insight portfolio companies that are entering and growing in the public sector and runs Insight’s Government Advisory Board. Nick also serves on the federal advisory board of Armis.

Nick served as a commissioner on the Atlantic Council's Commission on Defense Innovation Adoption. He’s been quoted in the Economist, WSJ, and NYT, and has testified in front of Congress about the opportunity to scale commercial innovation in the intelligence community.

Passionate about recruiting tech talent into public service, Nick co-founded the U.S. Digital Corps, a new two-year federal fellowship for early-career technologists, launched in the summer of 2021. Nick also serves as a board member of Coding It Forward, a nonprofit focused on empowering technologists to serve in government agencies, and Renaissance Philanthropy, a nonprofit focused on increasing the ambition of philanthropists, scientists, and innovators.

Nick joined Insight in 2014 from the White House, where he was U.S. Deputy Chief Technology Officer. Nick led President Obama’s Open Data Initiatives, co-led the Open Government Initiative, and helped start the Presidential Innovation Fellow program. Prior, Nick played a key role in crafting the National Broadband Plan at the FCC.

Nick is currently an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School, guest lecturing and participating in the Public Entrepreneurship class. Nick served for seven years as Adjunct Faculty at the Harvard Kennedy School and was a Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center.
